THE WELL WELL WELL (see the "Listening Well" in Music From the Center of the Earth) is a variation on the Magnetic Garden which can stand alone or be included in the Garden itself. Here, a deep well is constructed in a from which sounds (as described above) are heard. The Well is housed (for acoustic isolation) in a simple but beautifully constructed and landscaped structure. The sounds here while somewhat similar to the garden are made of longer "portraits" of real places and people to induce a more extended and focused listening experience.
